The main focus of this meeting is going to be cesarean rates in the panhandle (above state average, which is above the national average), and what we can do to draw attention to the problem. Also, since this is the first meeting, we will have lots of time to share our stories with fellow moms, and gain support for those of us who have undergone the knife. If there is interest, next month we hope to have several professionals weigh in on topics from how to get the best of breastfeeding after a cesarean, abdominal/pelvic health and how it affects birth, and chiropractic care during pregnancy. Yay!
